the teamwork of the rest of the committee that
bring it about.

Val Wickenden

Position: Club Secretary
Shoots: Recurve

Val is the main contact point between us, other
clubs in the region, and the three governing
bodies to whom we are associated; SCAA
(Sussex County Archery association), SCAS
(Southern Counties Archery Society) and GNAS
(Grand National Archery Society). She is also
our contact point for the Field course, and our
indoor venue at the Copthorne Pre. School.

Tony Jerome

Position: Child protection Officer
+ (Librarian/Target rep)
Shoots: Recurve/Compound

Tony’s main role as our Child Protection Officer is
much more an educator of the principles and
issues at work behind dealing with the young
and vulnerable, than that of a policeman, but
he is the first point of contact for any concerns.

Heinrick Grebe

Position: Records Officer
Shoots: Recurve

Husband and wife team - Maretha and Heinrich maintain records of all rounds shot by all individuals in the club. They also calculate your handicap each year, and record the holders of all our trophies.

Adam Smith

Position: Webmaster
Shoots: Compound

Adam supports our web presence, designing
and updating pages for us all.

Phil Carter

Position: Treasurer
Shoots: Recurve

Phil looks after all of our finances, not only
ensuring our fees are promptly gathered, but
that our financial records are up to date and
our bank account always in the black.

Sy  Grinham

Position: Target Captain
Shoots: Compound

Symon’s role is to organise the 2-3 matches we
are obligated to take part in each year against
other clubs of our region. Our success or failure
dictates our position in the four divisions
currently running.
